Desenzano del Garda Italy

Desenzano del Garda is an Italian town in the province of Brescia, Lombardy region, next to Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy with a perimeter of 144 km. Desenzano del Garda is 130 km from Milan and 28 km from Brescia, with 26,862 inhabitants. Piazza Malvezzi is the main square of the city and dates from the sixteenth century, designed by the architect Giulio Todeschini. It is dedicated to the memory of a Desenzano Giuseppe Malvezzi, who was assassinated by the fascists on April 28, 1945, along with eight companions of Villa Fenaroli in Rezzato, then used as headquarters of the German gendarmerie headquarters and a group of the Republican National Guard Old port, old port built during the Republic of Venice, historically used for the unloading of products and services before a drawbridge and its aftermath of a Venetian-style bridge (close Venetian blinds) will soon become one of the most photographed monuments of the citizen. In February 2016, the old port was surrounded by a modern style walkway with 150 galvanized and 600 threaded bars.
